Review & GIVEAWAY: "Still Human"/ Review & GIVEAWAY: "Ripping Pages"

Danny and Liv are back...
Danny loves Liv. He knows he loves her more than she loves him because she ran without a word when she saw their future mapped out before her. He knows he will never love anyone like he loved her and this time he doesn’t think he can move on.
Liv loves Danny. She knows she loves him more than he loves her because he broke her heart in the worst possible way, right when things were falling into place. She knows she will never love anyone like she loves him and this time she doesn’t think she can move on.
They needed a second chance because they just weren’t ready for their first, but when events changed everything between them, they discovered they were just human after all. Now Liv and Danny have to find a way to survive being hurt by each other.
They doubted, they underestimated and they did believe the worst, but only because they were too young the first time and too vulnerable the second time. But now they have changed and if they are not the same, surely things can only turn out differently?

Have you ever thought of your first love? Your first loss?

What if you lost that love once again? Could you survive it the second time?

The third times a charm, but would it destroy you leaving nothing behind?
I can't say enough about this series and this book in particular. You see this isn't just a love story as in boy meets girls. No, this story is much deeper. It's rooted, not just with their tree, but with the friendships that have resulted from the after affects of Danny and Liv's young heartbreak. This isn't just their story anymore. This is also the story of Danny & Jen and Liv & Max. It's a story of what it is to truly love someone full on. To be able to accept mistakes, move-on, to learn to love again, and to appreciate the people who were there when we fall.

This book is SO full of emotion and just when you think the story is wrapping up well........SURPRISE!! It's a real tear jerker.

I love that this book isn't a cookie cutter version of a couple. They are tormented because of each other. They have turned into who they are because of each other. They will go to the ends of earth and through every inch of hell imaginable to be with each other. If ever there was a couple who deserved a "happily ever after" it's Danny and Liv, but everytime they get there one of them bring their insecurity to the table and it's just enough to create havoc.

"You are always rooted her with me."

"I am always rooted here with you."

This book left we smiling, crying, and still trying to make the page turn even when I knew it was the end. It's the kind of story that leaves you happy and satisfied. It lightens your mood knowing there is true love out there, and not just the romantic type.

Sweet, shy and a bit goofy, Tinley Michaels has it all: a great mother, a wonderful, sexy, loving boyfriend, and her whole life ahead of her. One day her world is turned upside down when the love of her life suddenly leaves her without reason. She is left broken and vulnerable and vows to never let a man destroy her again. Months later, she decides to dust herself off and finally realize her dream of being a Broadway star. With nothing holding her back, she leaves everything she's ever known in Texas to start her new life in New York City. She moves in with her cousin, makes some great new friends, gets a steady job and an audition for a part in a small theater. Things are heading in the right direction. Tinley isn’t looking for anyone. She is jaded but still hopelessly in love with her first love. That’s when, by chance, she meets Van Whitaker, the smooth talking sexy lead singer of the best-selling rock band, Ripping Pages. She labels him a man-whore/rock-n-roll douchebag immediately. Van tries to show her that he’s no longer that guy and that he sees something in Tinley worth trying to be better for. Even though he makes her feel things she’s only read about in the hundreds of romance novels she’s shamelessly addicted to, she is scared he will leave her even more broken than she already is. Should she give this gorgeous rock star the time of day? And what will she do when she comes face to face with her past and she must make a decision that will change her future and her forever? What happens when the page you ripped out of the book of your life suddenly tries to put itself back into the story?

Ripping Pages Review:
Tinley has been through Hell. She had life by the reigns and then they snapped.
 The white picket fence..gone.
The 2.5 kids....gone.
Her first love...gone.
Hello New York City............Hello Broadway
Tinley has decided to change her life and change her scenery. She's moving on and moving to New York. Her dream was always Broadway and getting caught up in love made her forget it. Now it's time to focus on her and forget James.
She hears a guitar strumming and it pulls her heart. She hears a voice singing and it fastens the beat. She sees a face and it makes her want another chance at love.
Van is the lead singer from the Rock group Ripping Pages. He has the reputation for partying hard and going through women like bottles of beer. What if there's more to the man than the hard rocker? What if he let's someone in? What if he wants to the turn page?
When Tinley and Van meet there's a connection. They want to give each other a chance and fall hopelessly. The problem with fairy tale love though is there is always turmoil, always villains, and always drama. Van and Tinley's story is no different, only more heart wrenching, more real.
**This is a 5 star read through and through.**
I felt so bad for both Tinley and Van. I hated both at times and got just as confused as they were emotionally. They are the kind of characters you love to hate and hate to love. They are human and make mistakes, but try to over come them only to fall flat on their face looking for a hand to help them up. In other words, they are completely relatable. Except for you know, being a rock star and performing on Broadway, but that's the fairy tale element. I love this story, love the background characters, and hope this will turn to a series, as I'd like to see what happens to the other bands mates and friends.
