Review

Emma deals with the deepest type of betrayal from her husband. A man who promised to love her until the end of time.

"When you said that we'd be together forever, I thought that would mean until the end of time. But I guess forever isn't as long as it used to be." -Emma

When her parents are killed suddenly in a horrible accident, Keith takes advantage of the situation. Emma knows that something isn't right, but is too grief stricken to care. When problems start to arise with her brother, she knows that she has to find out what is going on. When she finds out just how two faced Keith is, she decides it's time to get her family back, get the business back on track, and get happy again.

With the support of her brother she moves on from Keith and moves to Boston. She soon finds that it's the best decision she has ever made. She has a little family of friends there and is on the road to happiness. Can she ever move on from the hurt of her failed marriage? Sometimes she thinks it would be worth a try. With her roomie Derrick, new friend Pete, her brother Riley and his girlfriend Char she's picking up the pieces of her broken heart.

This book will leave you shocked at the beginning. Keith is a grade A asshole. As you read how he has manipulated her you begin to wonder if he was only after one thing all along. The betrayal wasn't at all what I was expecting it to be at first and then it all clicks.

Emma is a very unique woman. She is so strong yet so weak at the same time. She is a very emotional woman, but when she sets her mind to something she is determined enough to pull through. The banter and relationship between her and Riley is hysterical at times. When you realize how old they actually are, it's comical to think of how they act with each other. They still act like kids, but when it's time to be grown up and there for each other they are in every way.

Derrick and Pete are great guys. They make the circle of friends complete. A tighter group of friends would be hard to imagine. They break the barriers of boys and girls can't be friends. It doesn't matter to them, never has, never will.

This book is such a good and emotional read. This group goes through so much together and separately that you wonder how they manage to cope at times. Have a tissue ready because there are some parts that your going to need it. The ending was perfect. I hope the next book will hold some surprises that I'm wishing for. This is an excellent series. You can feel all the emotions as the characters are going through them.

Touched By Another is a 5 star read.
It'll have you guessing, have you shocked,
have you feeling betrayed, loved, and finally happy.
It's a must read book from a must read series.

Excerpt

There really is so much we need to talk about and I don’t want to push her into anything too soon. The last thing I want to do is hurt her or scare her because I’m moving too fast.
It drives me crazy how much I care about her. I watch as she talks with everyone. Her smile and those eyes can light up a room, at least for me they can. She’s such a caring person; always putting the needs of others before her own. I know one of the things she wanted to accomplish with her move to Boston was to start putting herself first more often. It’s hard for her; it’s not in her nature to push others away. It’s one of her qualities that makes me love her so much. No matter what she needs or what I want to do for her, she always makes a point to make sure I have what I need first.
She’s something so special to me now that I don’t know what I would do if I lost her.
