Review & Giveaway: "Trashy" by Cambria Hebert

She’s trying to move on, but the past won’t let her go.

I fell in love once.

It was a big mistake, but the biggest mistake of all was staying with him.

He pushed me around. He cheated and treated me like trash.

I don’t feel sorry for myself, because I let him.

But no more.

I moved out. I'm saving my stripper's salary for an education that will get me somewhere better.

But breaking the chains of a shitty past isn’t easy. He says I owe him. He says we aren’t done. I don’t care what he says anymore.

I do care about Adam.

But my history tells me I’m not the best judge of men. And the fact Adam’s been married four times tells me he probably isn’t a safe choice.

I need safe. I need better. I need out.

If the past is any indication of my future, getting out isn’t going to be easy.

**Warning this book contains some physical and domestic abuse**

Roxie was a small town girl who was never noticed. Then she met Craig and her world changed. He noticed her, he was her friend, and he wanted her. When he changed things got out of hand. In a city where she knew no one she turned to a life of stripping and met Harlow.

Harlow was strong, she wanted to make it on her own. She showed Roxie that she had options. One of them was leaving Craig and moving in with her. Now Harlow and Roxie share an apartment and things are looking up, but Roxie's past has a way of finding her. There's only one thing she desires that she doesn't think she can have and that's Adam.

Some people might call Adam a serial marrier. They would be right. He's on divorce number 4. He has no excuse. His parents are still in a loving marriage. He just hasn't found the right woman or rather he has but they both have been involved with other people. That's all about to change.

Roxie has been through a lot for her age. She's a loving person who tries to find the good in everyone and it puts her in situations that are harmful. She may seem naïve, but she's really not. She just can't seem to see the bad and with Craig it's hard to forget the good times and see only the bad. She knows she's attracted to Adam, but given his past and his "no dating the strippers" rule, she feel that it will never get father than that.

With Adam's past and his owning strip clubs you expect him to be a womanizer. That couldn't be farther from the truth. He respects and takes care of the women who work for him. There's not been a woman who has made him rethink his rule until Roxie. He's come up with a plan though. His sensitive side is unreal. I wondered what he was capable of after Tease, but he surpassed what I thought we'd see. He is my favorite of the men in the Take It Off series. There is no way to describe him that will be thorough or good enough. Let me just say that you have to read this book and meet this man. His introduction before was just simply not enough.

This is a 5 star book and quite possibly my favorite one of this all 5 star series.
Meet Adam as he's not just a book boyfriend, he's THE book boyfriend.

“Kiss me.”

He didn’t need to be told twice. In seconds he was standing to his full impressive height and towed me up along with him. Adam released my hand and cupped my face. His hands engulfed my jaw but he was so gentle. His eyes swept over me like I was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen and around us sparks flew like snowflakes in a blizzard.

Instead of crushing his mouth to mine like I expected, like I wanted, he took his time. His heated gaze dropped to my lips, then back to my eyes. His fingers spasmed against my head and tightened ever so slightly.

Slowly, slowly he lowered his head, cupping my jaw so that I could do nothing but hold still and wait for him to arrive.

The anticipation of his lips on mine was almost my undoing. Everything going on inside me head floated away. I became aware of the moment, of the quietness in the room, of the way my body swayed wanting to get closer.

Adam’s lips brushed over mine, a gentle caress, once, twice and then a third time. He lifted his head just slightly and stared down at me, his thumb climbed up and caressed my lower lip.

He smiled softly and then joined our lips once more.
