Review & Giveaway: "Black Moon Draw" by Lizzy Ford

Award Winning author, Lizzy Ford, is back with a fantastical novel,
 where we find out what happens when a reader gets sucked into the novel she’s reading.
Reader beware … A woman suffering from heartbreak wishes her life would change and wakes up in BLACK MOON DRAW, an unfinished book written by her favorite author, where she must seek out the hero and help him on his mission if she is to return home.
ISBN: 978-1-62378-157-6;
 Kindle: 978-1-62378-159-0
 ePUB: 978-1-62378-158-3

Lizzy Ford has done it again. She has created a story her fans are going to love and one that is different from so many others out there. The reader is transported into the book she is reading. . . I think that this is a story about believing in yourself and not letting what others say or how they treat you, stop you from that. In the end, it's about what you believe yourself capable of and not be scared to venture out of your comfort zone. I loved it!”—Cindy, Goodreads reader

A reader gets sucked into the book she’s reading and is trapped, unless she convinces the hero of the story to send her home. Just her luck - the book is unfinished, and its sexy hero is far more alpha male than she’s prepared to handle.
What Naia doesn’t know: the story – and its hero – have been expecting her for quite some time, even though she has no idea what she’s doing there.
Naia must learn quickly how to navigate the dangerous, magical world of Black Moon Draw and find a way to complete her journey with the unlikely, uncooperative hero of the story, who holds the key to returning her home.

It's no surprise that Lizzy Ford has created yet another book as addicting as this. In Black Moon Draw, Naia is at a point in life where everything has collapsed around her. A woman who suffers from a low self opinion that she's been plagued with a lifetime has hit rock bottom. Her fiance has cried off a week before the wedding. The only way to fight the despair she feels is in her best dress, a couple bottles of wine, and Wattpad. When she awaken with a hang over in a place other than her apartment, her current book becomes real all too quickly.

I will say, when I first started reading this book I was seriously taken aback by the animal heads. Especially the boar's head, who wants to kiss that??? Then it happened and oh wow the story changed. I'm still at odds with how I feel about the Red Knight. He's a character you like, then hate, then maybe love. I think he wants his own battle witch. What say you LF? I loved that this story truly does take you away to another world and oddly enough makes you realize how books all work this way. This one just makes you aware of it.

My only argument for this book...I wanted a full fledge love scene with the Shadow Knight we get all the build up, but...Hmm. I love the ending! I completely did not see how this book ended. This is something I love with Lizzy's books. Even when you think you know the ending she can flip things around on you and take the story somewhere else and you are even more amazed and happy when you get to that point. The epilogue is funny. Is there a sequel? If I were a betting woman I'd say yes. Do I know for sure? No.

What I know is that this is a book unlike others. It's an imaginative journey into another land with odd characters, action, plotting, and the Shadow Knight.  There are not many heroes like him. This is a book not to be missed. Maybe I should write LF and ask her to put me in a book. If I do, maybe the Red Knight will appear. :-)
